The Importance of Our Morning Thoughts

It’s been a long time since I last wrote about the power of our thoughts or staying positive. When we find ourselves amidst a pandemic, facing the uncertainty of our futures and a country literally falling apart, I can say for sure that staying positive can seem like a long-term goal.

We all have our moments of fear and despair, and I have had my share of them over these last crazy months. But it wasn’t until recently that I had to remind myself not to let myself only fall into negativity only.

I wrote about the power of our voices in my last article. I am all about staying with unwelcome feelings whenever they need to be acknowledged. I truly refuse spiritual bypassing too! With the practice of mindfulness, I am always trying to be in touch with the present moment, living each day at a time, one hour at a time.

But unfortunately, at least for me, it is hard to be only in the present. Plus, how can we keep in touch with our dreams and future goals?

That has always been my struggle with meditation and spirituality. Do I stay in the present or do I dream of a better future? I have written extensive articles about that, but in short, I think we need to find a balance between living in the present or in the future.
