One Thing Wrong, One Hundred Things Right
An Epiphany on Life’s Simple Truth
In the midst of chaos, problems grow too big.
So big, all we can see is them.
They have the superpower to make
everything else seem small —
except it is not.
When you’re in any kind of crisis,
The sun is still shining outside,
and somewhere else, not too far away,
rain is falling and nurturing the ground.
Children are still playing outside;
The rice cooks steadily under pressure;
The A/C hums smoothly;
And the roof remains firm above your head.
Amid the chaos, chaos is never alone —
and this is the lesson to learn.
One thing may be wrong,
but ten other things are right.
When problems strike,
May you find the strength to see past
the dreadful appearances of life,
and find the simple things,
the simple things that are still right.
May you focus more on them
than only on what is wrong.
